Dry ice is solid CO2 at atmospheric pressure and with a temperature of approx. -79° C (-110,2 °F). The most unique property is that it leaves no residue after evaporisation. Dry ice is non flammable, non toxic, inert, tasteless and odorless which is why it has a plethora of commercial uses. It is white and has a density of approx. 1’500 kg/m3 (93,64 lb/ft3)in its compact form.

Dry ice blasting is pressurized streams of frozen CO2. They are used for cleaning surfaces without any risks of abrasive damage. Depending on the need, the particle size can be adjusted. Dry ice blasting helps removing variety of contaminants, such as rubber, grease, glue, mold, and oil. This is very important in removal of carbonized material caused by fire damage and industrial use.
